 small but noisy! November 9, 2008
does small jobs so even for my limited mails I spend few minutes to shredd stuff, noisy too
BUT small size so fits everywhere :)
Good little shredder November 9, 2008
On the plus side, it is convenient to have a shredder that sits right on my counter so that as soon as I walk in, I immediate eliminate and shred the junk mail. Less junk, less clutter.
On the minus side, I would have preferred that the resulting shreds be much smaller.

I really like this shredder. It's much more compact than most shredders, so it sits easily on a desk and doesn't take up much room. You can leave it on 'auto' so that it is always ready to shred, or switch it off for extra safety.
The container is clear, making it easy to see when it is full. Also, it's very easy to remove the top and empty the container. The only downside of that is the top doesn't snap on tightly - so it's easy to remove, but it seems it would also be relatively easy for the top to come off if you bumped it off the table.
The opening to the shredder is fairly narrow, so you have to fold 8.5 x 11 paper, but if you use it primarily for bills and old credit cards, it's perfect (but only takes about 4 sheets or 1 card at a time).
If you want something for a home office and expect to have more substantial needs, get a bigger unit with a more powerful motor - and one that fits 8.5 x 11 paper.

I had been searching for a perfect shredder for several month. My first shredder quit working a little more than one year after the purchase. I'm glad I found this nice shredder on Amazon.com. It sits perfectly on my desk. Although it is a little bit small but very efficient for dayily use. The design is also very thoughtful.

I read all the reviews before I purchased this shredder. Its a great little machine. Of course you can't push a textbook or even 8 pieces of paper, but it destroys junk mail with the shiftness. Cons are that the basket gets full fast and it isn't latched to the top which is kind of annoying. Also pieces of paper get stuck in the blades. Ends up being a messy cleanup.
